Best SQE2 Mock Exams 2026: Every Provider Compared
I could not find a comprehensive list of SQE2 mock providers anywhere - so I made one. Most guides focus on the big course providers. This one focuses on the smaller, often better-value options that most candidates only discover through word of mouth on Reddit or Discord.
A few caveats upfront: prices were verified in late March 2026 but change frequently. If something is out of date, let me know. I have tried to cover as many SRA-listed providers as possible but will have missed some. If you have taken any of these mocks, please share your experience in the comments.

Self-Study Mocks (No 1:1 Feedback)
Brigitte's Notes - from £14.99 per pack
The most granular option on the market. Brigitte sells individual mock question packs by skill type and legal context (e.g. Dispute Resolution Advocacy, Business Legal Drafting, Criminal Legal Writing). At £14.99 per pack with model answers, it is the cheapest entry point for targeted practice in a specific area.
Preptackle - £20 per mock
Preptackle offers self-study written scenarios across all five SQE2 legal contexts, accessed via Google Docs with sample answers for self-marking. No tutor feedback but the material quality is well-regarded in SQE communities. She also publishes the most comprehensive free SQE2 resource guide available.
Worth knowing: Preptackle occasionally bundles mocks. Check her site before buying individually.
InHouseW - £99 for 64 mocks
Created by Madeleine Weber, a qualified solicitor who passed SQE2 first attempt. The standalone mock pack gives 12 months' access to 64 self-practice written and oral mocks, sample answers, a skills guide, template library, and videos. No tutor feedback in this tier - feedback is only available in the £597 and £697 packages, which are frequently fully booked.
At £99 for 64 mocks with worked answers and supporting materials, this is excellent value if you are self-sufficient and do not need marked feedback. The quality of the materials is consistently rated as high by candidates.
Per-subject packs (single legal context only) are also available at £99 each if you only need one area.
The Devil's Advocate - £360 (Crash Course Pass) or £28/month
Two distinct products. The monthly subscription (£28/month) gives access to SQE1 MCQ banks, flashcards, and SQE2 "Cribs" - condensed skill-specific notes for each legal context. Useful as a supplement.
The SQE2 Exam Crash Course Pass (£360 one-off) is the main SQE2 product: 75 mocks in total (50 on-demand with video walkthroughs, 25 live mocks), covering all six skill types. Live sessions are scheduled per sitting and the pass is periodically relaunched. Currently available for the April 2026 sitting.
No 1:1 marked feedback, but the video walkthroughs add value over pure written model answers. They run many events and sessions for SQE1 as well.
Tuition and Notes
Brigitte's FLK - £17.99/notes, from £64.95/session
Covers all six SQE2 skill types in note form at £17.99 each. Tuition is available individually (£64.95/hour) or in bundles: 3 sessions for £179.95, 6 sessions for £299.95. Primarily revision-focused tuition rather than formal mock assessment with marking criteria. Good for candidates who want guided preparation alongside self-study.
SQE2 Prepnotes - £30/notes, £70/session
Similar model to Brigitte's FLK: subject notes plus tuition sessions. Operates primarily via social media. Pricing could not be fully verified at time of writing.
Sally Ann Mellor
A qualified solicitor and former Barbri faculty member, now operating as an independent SQE coach. Reviews are very positive. No public pricing - contact directly for rates and availability.
Chris Mallon
Qualified solicitor offering SQE2 tuition in London. LLB, LLM, MPhil. No public pricing on website; contact for quote.
Master Law Tutors - approx £140–£160/hour
London-based, practitioner-led tuition in small groups (max 4) or individually. An 18-week SQE2 course runs at 4.5 hours per week. Pricing at the premium end of the market, in line with London professional tutoring rates.
A Star Tuition - approx £75/hour
Operates primarily via social media. Could not be verified via a standalone website at time of research. Contact via their social channels.
Workshops
Kinch Robinson - £180/workshop (inc VAT), £300 for both
Offers live online workshops for Criminal and Dispute Resolution assessment preparation, focusing on advocacy. Individual workshops are £150 + VAT (£180 inc VAT); both together are £250 + VAT (£300 inc VAT). They also offer e-learning at £295 + VAT and 45-minute 1:1 coaching sessions at £200 + VAT.
The free advocacy workshop they occasionally run is worth attending before committing to paid materials.
Individually Purchased 1:1 Assessed Mocks
OSCE Smart - from £96 per mock
The most flexible option for buying individual marked mocks. Every skill type is available as a standalone assessed session:

Best for: candidates who want to pick and choose which skills to have assessed rather than commit to a full package.

FQPS Academy - £189–£399/month
The only provider offering live 1:1 oral mocks as a subscription model. Two tiers:
Standard (£189/month): 6 live 1:1 mocks with solicitor feedback, 36 self-practice mocks, revision cards, designated mentor, unlimited guidance, Cleo study planner, skills practice tool.
Premium (£399/month): Everything above plus 9 live 1:1 mocks (vs 6), 56 self-practice mocks (vs 36), 4 private tutor skills and law lessons.
Most candidates use this for 2 to 3 months, putting total cost at £378–£567 (Standard) or £798–£1,197 (Premium). At 6+ live marked mocks per month that is strong value for the price. I attended a free advocacy workshop with them which was genuinely useful - worth doing before committing.
InHouseW Feedback Packages - £597 or £697
The InHouseW Advantage Package Plus (£597) and Ultimate (£697) include tutor feedback on written and oral mocks alongside all materials. These are frequently fully booked months in advance - if you want this option, plan ahead.
BARBRI Standalone Mocks - £999
New for 2026: BARBRI now offers a standalone SQE2 Mocks package for non-BARBRI students. Six assessed mocks: 4 written (CMA, legal research, writing, drafting) and 2 live oral (interview and advocacy), with recorded tutor feedback and a personal study plan. An optional Mocks+ tier adds a pre-exam 1:1 tutor call.
At £999 for 6 mocks, this sits at the premium end but brings BARBRI's structured marking and feedback model to candidates who are not on a full BARBRI course.
LTC Kent - £990
Law Training Centre offers intensive assessed mock packages: either 2 oral mocks + 4 written mocks, or 4 oral mocks only. All live, under timed exam conditions. Includes assessment criteria lectures and exam day preparation. Feedback is immediate for oral sessions (verbal) and written for written submissions. Booking closes shortly before each sitting window.
Notes and Revision Materials (Not Mocks)
University of Law
Sells standalone skill guides for SQE2 oral and written skills at £40 each. Also sells SQE1 revision guides (£480). Does not offer standalone mock assessments.
Future Solicitor - £397/month
Primarily a content and notes platform. The SQE2 tier includes 5 modules, 10+ hours of video, and 20+ sample questions with model answers. No 1:1 oral mock feedback. Sample question volume is low for the monthly price; better suited to candidates who want video-led instruction alongside self-practice.
University of Law FLK checklist notes
A set of five context-specific FLK notes for SQE2, covering the legal knowledge tested in each practice area. Short format - more pre-exam checklist than full revision notes. Sold individually and as a bundle.
What the Major Course Providers Offer
None of the major providers (BPP, University of Law, BARBRI full course, QLTS School) offer standalone mock packages that meaningfully compete on value with the above. Their mocks are bundled into full preparation courses:
- BPP: Mocks included in full SQE2 Diploma only (no standalone option found)
- University of Law: Mocks included in full prep course only
- BARBRI full course: £3,499 (12 mocks); standalone Mocks package £999 (6 mocks) as above
- QLTS School: Mocks bundled into course tiers from £1,990 to £2,990
If you are self-studying or using a budget provider for content, the smaller providers above are the realistic route to getting proper assessed practice.
