SQE Results Days 2026
SQE1 Results Day - 8 September 2026
SQE1 results for the July 2026 sitting are expected on 8 September 2026 - approximately 7 weeks after the exam window closes. Results arrive by email from Kaplan and include a score report for FLK1 and FLK2. If you fail, you can resit at the next sitting (January 2027, registration closes 20 November 2026).
SQE2 Results Days 2026
SQE2 results are released per sitting: April 2026 results on 30 June 2026 · July 2026 results on 28 September 2026 · October 2026 results on 14 December 2026. SQE2 is marked by solicitor-assessors; resit fee is £2,974.
Planning Your SQE Route in 2026
You must pass SQE1 before sitting SQE2. The key constraint: SQE1 July 2026 results (8 September) come out after the SQE2 October registration deadline (28 August), so you cannot use SQE2 October as a back-up for July SQE1. The most realistic back-to-back route is SQE1 July 2026 → SQE2 January 2027.

SQE Resit Dates & Fees 2026
There is no limit on the number of SQE resit attempts. SQE1 resits can be for one paper (FLK1 or FLK2) or both. SQE2 resits are for the full assessment.

What to Know Before Booking
How to register
Register at sqe.sra.org.uk via Kaplan. You need an active SRA account. London test centre slots fill early - book as soon as registration opens. Registration closes approximately 5 weeks before each sitting.
Exam fees
SQE1: £1,934 (both papers) or £967 per paper resit. SQE2: £2,974. Combined first attempt: £4,908. All fees are VAT exempt. See full cost breakdown including course fees at our Cost Calculator.
Cancellation policy
Full refund within 14 days of booking. £250 cancellation fee if you cancel after 14 days (but before the window closes). No refund within 14 days of your assessment date.
Appeals
First-stage appeal: £350 (refunded if successful). Final appeal: £850 (refunded if successful). Appeals must be lodged within the deadline stated in your results letter.
SQE1 sitting locations
SQE1 is computer-based at Pearson VUE test centres worldwide - including in the US. You choose your preferred centre when booking. Results take approximately 7 weeks.
SQE2 - UK venues only
SQE2 oral and written assessments are held at Kaplan centres in the UK only: Birmingham, Cardiff, London and Manchester. International candidates must travel to the UK for SQE2.
